Krista’s work evolves around the use of color and texture. Applying mixed media she uses her canvas to develop a landscape of layers to create depth and evoke emotion, to surprise with hidden areas capturing the imagination leading the viewer to their own discoveries.


Inspiration for her work comes from the world around. Viewing a radiant sunset, an elegant flower or experiencing the intensity of tears and laughter spontaneously erupting from within along with the joy and angst of beginning and ending relationships. She takes these impressions and uses mixed media to build onto her canvas, adding and subtracting until the piece is complete. A concept sculpted into being.
